Resolved Question: can i join football in my senoir year of high school?

k well ive ALWAYS loved football...it has always been my favourite sport forever. ive grown up going to college football and nfl games and we have our 6th season of season tickets for WSU. im a junior now and i go to catholic school and they always win state in football but i kinda wanna play. im athletic (i ski in winter, water ski/wakeboard in summer) and i am 5'11" 155lbs and i know everything about football. i wanna play this year for my school for the hell of it and maybe something more to put on my college resume. there r like 40-50 players on the team. is it too late to join for next yr (senoir yr)? how should i sign up or even see if im good enough? will they teach me what to do???? (i know football rules but i mean like plays..) and if i mess up if i am playing will other players like make funna me?? thanks plz answer if u know an answer to my question or can help or gone thru the same thing.
